NCYP Twisted Wire Vintage House Shape Glass Geometric Terrarium Kit, DIY Set, suitable for small snails, spiders
What is included:
Diy set:
1. The house-shaped terrarium with twisted wire decor is made of glass and stainless steel. (I changed the door hinge from side to bottom to make it more convenient to open. The photo will be updated in days.)
2. coconut coir (3 units of 5x1cm)
3. a black wood stump shape cement planter
4. a bag of gardening soil for the fern.
Please note: the plant is a maidenhair fern. It is not included because I can not ship it.
Diy set with light:
It includes all the above sets, a white LED grow light, and a wood board set shown in the photos.
This building set is an easy but decent solution for small snails and spiders. Snails love climbing on the leaves while small spiders net or dig holes in the soil. That is why I separate the plants with coconut coir. The ferns are planted in the tree like black planters. It looks like a mini tree inside the terrariums. The only thing you need to prepare is small ferns.
Recommended plants: maidenhair fern, Boston fern, fittonia, etc. When the leaves grow taller, it will be more beautiful, like a green ceiling in the terrarium.
The LED light I am using is white. Small leaves look best under white. The beautiful green color in the photos is almost the same as what you actually see. Thus I highly recommend maiden hair fern (if you have a large pot of it. It can be splitted).
Here is the planting video of a previous terrarium project. I will upload a new one in days (it is quite easy, and it takes less than 1 minute).
Terrarium details:
1. This is a small, house-shaped, black reptile terrarium. It is made of anti-rust metal. It does not rust. There are vents facing each other on the triangle roof part. It is decorative with twisted wire.
2. There is a front door with a latch. It is a regular rectangle so with smaller gaps around the door, 1-2mm. Please note: I revised the front door to make it more sturdy and convenient (hinge changed from side to lower part).
3. Size Length x width x height: 19 x 12.5 x 24 CM / 7.5 x 4.9 x 9.5 inches
4. The door is in the middle, so your jump spider can net on top. I do not use red dirt because I have another red dirt (clay loam) on sale which is totally different. To avoid confusion, I choose coconut soil.
5. There are small gaps between panels because only the joints are soldered. Compared with tin terrarium, its ability to keep moist is weaker.
6. Welcome any questions.
