Grey White Horticultural Lava Rock Volcanic Rock
Those small rocks are made with lava rocks .
Compared with natural lava rocks (the red, black), they are lightweight. For your reference, if you bu 700g, you will get almost twice capacity than the red lava rock.
They are so lightweight that they can float on the water. Please do not buy if you need some decorative rocks for yoru aquarium.
They are porous, great to let the water go through, and function as a filter.
There are three size options: 1-3mm, 3-6mm, 6-9mm.
They are used as the bottom layer of a terrarium to prevent waterlogging. Above the lava layer, there is a sphagna layer and soil. Please check my attached terrariums, the bottom layer, they are the smal lava rockes.
Those porous rocks function as drainage-proof layer at the bottom of the terrarium.
With those small lava rock layers at the bottom of the glass terrarium, you will see immediately if you overwater your plants. It allows you to pour out the extra water easily. Putting in small lava rocks is the beginning step of almost every moss terrarium and succulent terrarium I made.
